3 Important Dates of Interest


 
Board of Education Candidates Forum
Tuesday, October 2, 2012 @ 7:00 p.m., Community Media Center in Westminster

The League of Women Voters will host the 2012 Board of Education Candidates Election Forum on October 2 at 7 p.m. at the Community Media Center.  Residents are invited to attend and may submit questions for the candidates which pertain to local school board issues. The League will use as many submitted questions as possible. Questions may be emailed to elections@carrollmediacenter.org in advance.

The Community Media Center will broadcast this event live on cable channel 9, Carroll Public Access, and on Channel 23, Town and Community TV. It will be rebroadcast on both channels until the elections.


Board of Education Regular Meeting
Wednesday, October 10, 2012 @ 5:00 p.m., Charles Ecker Board Room, Board of Education Offices

The Board of Education of Carroll County will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. in the Charles I. Ecker Boardroom at the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.
      
The meeting will be streamed live on the Carroll County Public Schools website at www.carrollk12.org. Click on Quick Links on the top of the page, then click on CETV 21, followed by CCPS CETV Webstreaming, or go directly to:           
     
The meeting also will be broadcast live on Channel 21, with rebroadcasts on Thursday, October 11, at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 13, at 9:00 a.m.; Sunday, October 14, at 8:00 p.m.; and Thursday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m.


Board President and Superintendent to Host Town Meeting
Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 7:00 p.m., West Middle School

Board President Jennifer Seidel and Superintendent Stephen Guthrie will be hosting a town meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 7 p.m. at West Middle School, located at 60 Monroe Street in Westminster.   
The purpose of the meeting is to create an open dialogue with parents and the community. Members of the community are invited to attend and address their concerns or ask questions regarding education topics and issues. The meeting is intended to be an open forum; however, depending on the number of participants the time for each speaker may be limited.
